  • Pickle Jar Communications

    For almost 10 years I worked as a consultant at Pickle Jar Communications, developing strategies and leading projects for clients in the education sector. This included universities, international schools, colleges, membership organisations and other education related businesses.

    Services: Content strategy, social media, discovery and consultation, audience research, project management.

  • ContentEd Conference and Community

    I was part of the team that established the ContentEd Conference back in 2017, and have supported delivery of the annual conferences and events ever since. In 2024 I helped launched the ContentEd+ membership community with paid and free tiers for institutional and individual membership.

  • The Dare2Dream Foundation

    The Dare2Dream Foundation offer bespoke alternative education programmes for children and young people. I supported them with messaging and content development that better reflects the support they offer. The content is being used to develop a new website and digital brochure to promote their services to local authorities and education providers.

  • Many Tears Animal Rescue

    Many Tears Animal Rescue, based in South Wales, care for and rehome dogs throughout the UK. I established and managed the Instagram account for them on a voluntary basis, taking them to 25k followers in less than 4 years. They now have over 300k followers - more than many of the more well-established dog rehoming centres.

  • The Francis Crick Institute

    The Francis Crick Institute wanted to increase public engagement with science using digital channels. I led a project to define their approach to public engagement, with inspiration from similar organisations and institution, and consultation with academic colleagues, I delivered a range of ideas for new ideas and activities that would engage their public audiences.

  • Royal College of Music

    The Royal College of Music is a prestigious London-based institution and events venue known globally for its music degrees. I led a project to review, benchmark and advise on their strategic approach to social media to better represent the breadth of their offer and student experience to a diverse range of audiences.

  • The De Ferrers Academy

    The de Ferrers Academy wanted to announce the launch of a new sixth form centre. With limited time and budget, I delivered marketing recommendations focussed on improving information for potential applicants and their parents. This included a new website structure and content, and social media activity including organic and paid advertising.

  • Birmingham Newman University

    Birmingham Newman University is a relatively small university based on Catholic values with an excellent reputation for social mobility. They wanted support to define and communicate their unique proposition. I oversaw delivery of the project through discovery, messaging, content recommendations and creation.
